Overview
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking two dynamic and energetic, board certified Gastroenterologists to join a busy, established practice based in the Central Florida area, just south of Orlando in the Davenport and Lake Wales area. Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, these practices are seeking partners to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. Gastroenterology is part of a 33-provider multispecialty practice that encompasses Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology, Surgical Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care. Currently, the practice has one full-time and one part-time physician at the Lake Wales location and one full-time physician at the Heart of Florida location.
The opportunities at AdventHealth Heart of Florida and AdventHealth Lake Wales includes coverage at both locations with each new physician developing a primary clinic at each site. Timeshare / satellite clinic locations will also be discussed for future market growth.
Job Requirements
Expectations for the new physician:
- Daily, high volume schedule of outpatient and inpatient care
- Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
- ED call
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to foster and build collegial relationships with community-based physicians
- A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth
- Active Florida license a plus
