AdventHealth, one of the largest faith based systems in the country with 50 hospitals in 10 states, is recruiting a Family Medicine Program Director for a brand new Family Medicine Residency Program starting in 2023. Our West Florida Division is experiencing tremendous growth with 11 hospitals and is  the fastest growing division in the company with over 400 employed physicians and APP's. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Family Medicine Program Director for this exciting new residency program affiliated with AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. Wesley Chapel is a growing new suburb of Tampa, located 15 minutes from our Tertiary Center hospital, AdventHealth Tampa. Bariatrics, Adult Weight Management
Tampa, FL

Location: Tampa, FL - Specialty: Bariatrics, Adult Weight Management

AdventHealth Tampa is currently seeking a Bariatrician/Obesity Medicine Specialist for our Bariatric and Metabolic Institute. This would be an employed opportunity with AHMG, which has over 400 physicians and APP's in the West Florida Division, Advent Health's fastest growing division in the system. AdventHealth has 50 hospitals in 10 states and 30 hospitals are in sunny Florida. The West Florida Division has 11 hospitals. The position is located at AdventHealth Tampa which has 536 beds and is the tertiary center. A brand new Taneja Center for Surgery just opened in October with 18 OR's and 98 additional patient beds were added.

The Bariatric and Metabolic Institute is seeking a physician that can work at least three days a week to start and build to full-time as part of expanding inter-disciplinary bariatric services in the future.  This position will join a team of 3 bariatric surgeons, 2 surgical fellows, 4 mid-level providers, certified bariatric nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and support staff.  

Duties include developing and supervising a medical weight loss program, managing complex nutritional patients and implementation of best practices in weight management.  Additional duties include pre-operative and post-operative care of bariatric surgical patients in an outpatient setting.  The physician will have the opportunity to develop a scholarly concentration in clinical trials and establish a Bariatric Medicine fellowship.  The candidate should be BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Prior experience in Bariatrics and or certification in Obesity Medicine is required.  Specialization in endocrinology medicine is desirable.

The group at Pepin Heart Institute includes a well established, busy, experienced group of 5 CT Surgeons with 2 having senior leadership. Call is 1:4.

The renowned Pepin Heart Institute is a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research, caring for Tampa Bay's hearts for over 30 years. Many achievements are First in Tampa and among first in the country to perform TAVR procedure, First in Tampa to offer Watchman procedure, First in Tampa to utilize Impella RP heart pump on a patient with right-side heart failure.

Cardiology, Electrophysiologist
Ocala, FL

Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics (ACT), a well-established Cardiology practice in Ocala, Florida is recruiting an experienced Electrophysiologist.  With over 30 years’ experience in treating the Marion County community, ACT is focused on providing cardiac care to nearly 5,000 patients per year.

The 6 physician (5 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 Electrophysiologist) group provides expert cardiac care exclusively at AdventHealth Ocala, a 421 bed facility with over 100 years of history in the Horse Capital of the World. As the first hospital in Marion County to be recognized by the American College of Cardiology for demonstrated expertise and commitment to treating patients with chest pain, AdventHealth Ocala continues to provide proven and compassionate heart care to the residents of our community. AdventHealth Carrollwood/AdventHealth Tampa are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist with at least 3-5 years post training to join a  well established busy group of employed Cardiologists with senior leadership. There are 3 Non-Invasive Cardiologists, 1 Interventional Cardiologist  and 2 APP's currently in the group. Call will be 1:6 or 1:7 for Stemi Call and weekend call is 1:6 or 1:7. Another cardiolgist is needed due to growth in the area. Spanish speaking is a plus.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
  • Performs initial and on-going assessments of self-care, psychosocial needs, education, environment and discharge planning, incorporating information from the identified significant other and other health providers.
  • Utilizes skills of observation, inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation using diagnostic instruments or laboratory procedures that are basic to the screening of physical signs and symptoms.
  • Utilizes fetal monitoring screening for auscultating, monitoring, and assessment of fetal heart tones.
  • Assesses learning needs, readiness, and capabilities of patient/family, including cultural, religious practices, language barriers, emotional barriers, educational level, motivation and limitations.
  • Documents patient care findings within established standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Manages the medical plan of care prescribed for the client, based on protocols or guidelines adopted jointly by the certified nurse midwife, and attending physician.  Review and revise protocols/guidelines annually.  Addresses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, educational, and discharge needs.
  • Initiates referrals to external or internal care providers or community agencies as needed.
  • Seeks appropriate resources to clarify information concerning the nursing/medical care regime as needed.  Coordinates care by collaborating with physicians and others to obtain appropriate services, including multidisciplinary team meetings.

What You Will Need:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
  • BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
  • Active FL license

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a professional nurse licensed in Florida to function in an expanded role to provide primary health care to individuals, families or groups. The Certified Nurse Midwife functions in a collegial relationship with physicians and other health professionals in the delivery of primary health care services. They are able to make independent decisions with physicians in carrying out health regimens for families and clients. The Certified Nurse Midwife is directly accountable and responsible to the patient.
