AdventHealth Medical Group is currently seeking a board certified/board eligible Gynecologic Surgeon to join our leading, accredited women’s health care services at AdventHealth Tampa as Core Faculty for a new Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program. If you are passionate about teaching with a desire to provide whole person care in a faith-based environment, we would love to hear from you.

Practice Description:

You will be helping to create a team of Gynecologic Surgeons, and work in collaboration with Ambulatory Generalists, OBGYN hospitalists, and FPMRS to provide comprehensive coordinated care and support the educational mission of the residency program.

Primary scope of the teaching-centered clinical practice is the breadth of Gynecologic Surgery, including ambulatory evaluation, and perioperative care. Inpatient OBGYN Hospitalist experience is also available, if desired.

Scope of Core faculty responsibilities include participating in the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, evaluation, and advancement of residents. All Core faculty members are expected to be role models of professionalism, demonstrate commitment to the delivery of safe, quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care, and demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents.

Education / Clinical Experience:

    1. Graduation from accredited allopathic (MD) or osteopathic (DO) medical school
    2. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
    3. Prior experience as residency program faculty strongly desired

Licensure:

    1. Active Florida medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure).

Certification / Registration:

    1. Current certification or active candidate for certification in the specialty by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
    2. Ability to obtain appropriate medical staff appointment at AdventHealth Tampa

Location: Sebring, FL - Specialty: Hyperbaric Medicine

•Ensure appropriate HBO chamber quality and safety, including appropriate documentation of approved indications, physician supervision requirements, and presence of appropriately trained staff for the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Unit.

•Oversee hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) and provide oversight of wound care

•Work closely and partner with engaged subspecialists

•Oversee the quality of medical care provided

•Uphold and enforce the Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine policies and procedures. Review the procedures annually and recommend improvements when necessary.

•Implement new services and treatments in accordance with the needs and objectives of AdventHealth

•Provide continuing wound care education to the staff and community, including new advances in wound healing and new product reviews

 

 

 

Our ideal candidate would be:

•MD or DO

•Be an innovative, collaborative BC/BE physician leader with demonstrated clinical skills in the provision of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy services.

•Diplomate, American Board of Wound Management (Certified Wound Specialist) and Diplomate, American Board of Preventive Medicine (subspecialty - Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine or American College of Hyperbaric Medicine) preferred.

•Wound Care experience in an acute setting with demonstrated clinical leadership skills preferred.

Faculty for  IM Residency Program

A great new opportunity is available in a new ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency program.

Seeking an enthusiastic Internal Medicine faculty to assist in launching a 24 Resident Program (8-8-8), community-based program for July 2022 in Sebring, Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide mentoring, teaching and supervision of the faculty, residents and students in the Internal Medicine Program.
  • Serve as an advisor and role model
  • Assists the program director in mentoring and providing critical evaluations of the clinical and teaching effectiveness of the internal medicine residents and program.
  • Ensures adequate physician, resident and other provider supervision of the outpatient teaching services.
  • Serves as a preceptor for residents who see patients in the IMP.
  • Serves as a role model by seeing patients within the IMP.

Practice Description:

You will be joining an existing Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) team which works closely with OB hospitalists and our employed Obstetricians to provide comprehensive coordinated care and support the educational mission of the residency program.

Clinical scope of practice includes the full range of MFM including ultrasound prenatal diagnosis, consultative high-risk obstetrical care, and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.

The APP will see patients in the outpatient office for hospital follow-up visits and routine follow-up visits as well as oversight of our device clinic. All clinical responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the attending physician and within the scope of practice, AdventHealth privileges, policies and procedures, and medical staffs bylaws and rules and regulations.

AdventHealth Tampa is currently seeking a Bariatric/Obesity Medicine Nurse Practitioner for our Bariatric and Metabolic Institute. This would be an employed opportunity with AHMG, which has over 400 physicians and APP's in the West Florida Division, Advent Health's fastest growing division in the system. AdventHealth has 50 hospitals in 10 states and 30 hospitals are in sunny Florida. The West Florida Division has 11 hospitals. The position is located at AdventHealth Tampa which has 536 beds and is the tertiary center. A brand new Taneja Center for Surgery just opened in October with 18 OR's and 96 additional patient beds were added.

The Bariatric and Metabolic Institute is seeking an additional full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide inter-disciplinary bariatric services.  This position will join a team of 3 bariatric surgeons, 2 surgical fellows, 4 mid-level providers, certified bariatric nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and support staff.  

Duties include developing and supervising a medical weight loss program, managing complex nutritional patients and implementation of best practices in weight management.  Additional duties include pre-operative and post-operative care of bariatric surgical patients in an outpatient setting. Prior experience in Bariatrics preferred or specialization in endocrinology medicine.
