AdventHealth Dade City/AdventHealth Zephyrhills is recruiting another board eligible/board certified robotically trained Bariatric Surgeon to Advent Health Medical Group General Surgery & Bariatrics at Dade City  group of 5 physicians (1 Bariatric Surgeon/4 General Surgeons) and 1 APP. There is a brand new office location in San Antonio, FL located right off of Interstate 75, not far from Wesley Chapel. Wesley Chapel,  a growing suburb of Tampa with excellent schools also is home to the 1st lagoon neighborhood, Epperson,  in the US. A 2nd lagoon neighborhood, Mirada is in San Antonio, FL near the office.  The practice is opening a 2nd office location in North Lakeland area of FL. The two hospitals, located just 12 minutes apart both have XI robots. AdventHealth Zephyrhills has 149 beds and AdventHealth Dade City has 120 beds.   AdventHealth Zephyrhills has 8 OR's, AdventHealth Dade City has 5 OR's.

Will Be Responsible For:

  • Provide services similar to those of a physician.
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions.
  • Sees patients both in the hospital setting and practice setting.
  • Depending on surgical specialty, may work with assigned physician(s) in endoscopy or OR
  • Assists with in-office procedures with physician and or may perform minor procedures independently.
  • Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external patients and customers—in person or on the telephone.
  • Exhibits respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships within the practice and other departments.
  • Demonstrate Florida Hospital’s Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork through daily interactions with patients and their families, and with the medical staff.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions.
  • Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories of patients.
  • Determines abnormalities by administering and/or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
  • Interpreting test results of patients.
  • Able to provide pre and post-operative care, if applicable. This would apply if PA is located in a surgical practice.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Instructs and counsels patients.
  • Document patient care services by charting in the patient and department records.
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Focus on patient wellness and disease prevention.
  • Provide health education services and/or counsel patients on how to make healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Will need to work weekdays, occasional weekends and nights for call coverage.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking two dynamic and energetic, board-certified General Surgeon to join a busy, established practice based in the Central Florida area, just south of Orlando in the Davenport area.  Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, these practices are seeking partners to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. General Surgery is part of a 33-provider multispecialty practice that encompasses Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology, Surgical Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care.  Currently, the practice has one full-time surgeon and one full-time Bariatric surgeon.

AdventHealth Tampa is currently recruiting a high quality, board certified, robotic,HPB surgeon right out of fellowship for Tampa, FL, which serves the surrounding counties of Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. This is a busy tertiary medical center with 536 beds. With the addition of 1 HPB surgeon call will be 1:3. Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, XI's are located at the hospital for minimally invasive surgeries. The Taneja Center for Innovative Surgery will be opening in October 2021, with 314K square feet, 6 floors, 96 large, private patient rooms with ability to add 36 more, and 18 state-of-the-art OR's with ability to add 6 more OR's. AdventHealth Tampa also has the Digestive Disease Institute located on campus as well as the Pepin Heart Institute. The Siemens bi-plane is here and ready for you! Board certified neurosurgeons, a robust neuro-hospitalist program and thrombolytic capabilities are already in place.

AdventHealth Ocala is expanding the Neuroscience service line to build a comprehensive interventional neuroradiology program providing neurosurgical services and the neurological support for the care and treatment of cerebrovascular events requiring surgical intervention. Our aim is to provide top notch care to the Marion County community closer to home.

Fellowship training and subspecialty focus in INR is required for this opportunity. Neurosurgery candidate should have expertise in cerebrovascular surgery and a neurology candidate should be trained in endovascular and interventional neurology.

AdventHealth Ocala is currently a TJC Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center seeking Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification. Surgeon would have the benefit of utilizing state of the art modalities, including a newly constructed Bi-Plane OR suite to support neuroendovascular procedures in a quickly growing market at a top tiered Hospital.
