Location: Ocala, FL - Specialty: Certified Nurse Midwife

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
  • Performs initial and on-going assessments of self-care, psychosocial needs, education, environment and discharge planning, incorporating information from the identified significant other and other health providers.
  • Utilizes skills of observation, inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation using diagnostic instruments or laboratory procedures that are basic to the screening of physical signs and symptoms.
  • Utilizes fetal monitoring screening for auscultating, monitoring, and assessment of fetal heart tones.
  • Assesses learning needs, readiness, and capabilities of patient/family, including cultural, religious practices, language barriers, emotional barriers, educational level, motivation and limitations.
  • Documents patient care findings within established standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Manages the medical plan of care prescribed for the client, based on protocols or guidelines adopted jointly by the certified nurse midwife, and attending physician.  Review and revise protocols/guidelines annually.  Addresses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, educational, and discharge needs.
  • Initiates referrals to external or internal care providers or community agencies as needed.
  • Seeks appropriate resources to clarify information concerning the nursing/medical care regime as needed.  Coordinates care by collaborating with physicians and others to obtain appropriate services, including multidisciplinary team meetings.

What You Will Need:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
  • BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
  • Active FL license

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a professional nurse licensed in Florida to function in an expanded role to provide primary health care to individuals, families or groups. The Certified Nurse Midwife functions in a collegial relationship with physicians and other health professionals in the delivery of primary health care services. They are able to make independent decisions with physicians in carrying out health regimens for families and clients. The Certified Nurse Midwife is directly accountable and responsible to the patient.

Location: Tampa, FL - Specialty: Family Medicine, General

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking board certified/board eligible family or internal medicine physician to join a brand-new primary care office in Tampa, Florida. The new office location is opening in October 2023 in Tampa on Fletcher Avenue housing up to three primary care physicians. This location is across the street from AdventHealth Tampa Hospital and near the University of South Florida.  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine (or Board Eligibility within 3 years of completing a US based residency program)
  • Proficiency with minor office-based procedures including, but not limited to joint injections, and minor dermatologic procedures
  • Experience with or willingness to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APRN & PA-C)

At work, you will experience:

Faculty for  FM Residency Program

A great new opportunity is available in a new ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency program.

Seeking an enthusiastic Family Medicine faculty to assist a 24 Resident Program (8-8-8), community-based program in Sebring, Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide mentoring, teaching and supervision of the faculty, residents and students in the Family Medicine Program.
  • Serve as an advisor and role model
  • Assists the program director in mentoring and providing critical evaluations of the clinical and teaching effectiveness of the family medicine residents and program.
  • Ensures adequate physician, resident and other provider supervision of the outpatient teaching services.
  • Serves as a preceptor for residents who see patients in the FMP.
  • Serves as a role model by seeing patients within the FMP.
  • Practice and teach full-spectrum Family Medicine
  • Provide clinical supervision of medical students and residents in an outpatient setting
  • Teach didactics and assist in leading curriculum development
  • Interviewing and recruiting faculty for the clinic, maintaining adequate physician staffing at the clinical site, performing yearly reviews of faculty goals & accomplishments, providing direct clinical care to patients, teaching of Family Medicine medical students and residency training in the clinic location, and conducting research.

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking two dynamic and energetic, board certified Gastroenterologists to join a busy, established practice based in the Central Florida area, just south of Orlando in the Davenport and Lake Wales area.  Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, these practices are seeking partners to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. Gastroenterology is part of a 33-provider multispecialty practice that encompasses Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology, Surgical Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care.  Currently, the practice has one full-time and one part-time physician at the Lake Wales location and one full-time physician at the Heart of Florida location.
